»Although much recent scholarship has been dedicated to Francisco Goya's extensive portrayal of women throughout his career, few have addressed his depiction of sexual violence. Tis paper seeks to explore the implications of Goya's portrayal of sexual violence within the context of nineteenth-century perceptions of rape in a wartime context. «
